From the Manufacturer...

The Challenger is an amazing overstable putter, and very popular with advanced players. It can get around trouble for those long hyzer putts and is overstable enough to take a good amount of snap on approaches.

  1. Great putter used by two of the sports best putters. If Nate Doss and Emac like the challenger there is no reason you shouldn’t. Super consistent and over-stable to keep straight in any wind or harder throw. Nate and Emac say:

“I use this disc as my main putter, and for a lot of short midrange shots. Very useful disc at slow speeds and you can even use it off the tee on those shorter hole.
-Nathan Doss, 2005 and 2007 World Champion

“The BEST putter on the market! It is a great and very predictable overstable putter.”
    -World Champion Eric McCabe

  2. This disc is a rock solid putter. It can take a lot of snap off the tee, and in lighter weights it makes for a nice floaty putter. I’ve found that heavier weights Challengers drop out of the air really fast compared to their lighter brothers. I use a 166 for my main putter and couldn’t be more happy. Really just a solid disc that deserves an audition in any golfers bag.

I’d give it a 5, but I still miss a few putts here and there. Can’t be MY fault… ;)

  3. The challenger is my favorite disc. Known to be a “driving putter”, the challenger’s flight has a bit of turn but more fade then most. Those in search of trying an alternative to a beaded avair or wizard will usally try a challenger. Many favor it’s smaller bead.

If I could carry only one, it would be a chalky, tacky, pro d at max weight. Since I don’t have to carry only one, I compliment it with a lighter version, and a hard elite x at max weight.

The challenger has been produced in many plastic blends. It’s currently produced in Pro D, soft Elite X, ESP/FLX, and available for tournaments in cryZtal Z. They are also sought after in Midnight (ESP), Z/FLX, Elite Z, hard Elite X, and variations of Pro D- such as the super stiff CT, the original stamp, and even the bar stamped versions.

  4. I throw my Challengers up to about 220 feet or so for approaching. I use this as my main putter as well and I’m a turbo putter. It handles the wind and extra spin very well and I love the feel of the Pro D plastic for gripping. Slightly overstable so you can have many of these in your bag from new to beat.
