This is a good disc I carry in my bag in Elite X. I’ve considered trying it in Z because I often turn it over when not planning to. It is very straight, but easy to turn over and with tons of glide. It is a handy utility disc in that no matter what my stance (on my knees, unable to step etc) it will go a long way. It essentially replaced a dx stingray for me (more reliable but just as much glide.)

Comets, Arguably the best disc ever made with pin-point accuracy: voted as a player’s “Best First Disc” by Disc Golf Review and highly recommended for beginners to develop good form with but even the Pro’s love this disc too:
“All I can say is WOW!!! This disc is absolutely amazing, and may be the most underrated disc on the market. I use the Comet for almost every midrange shot that I need from as close as 150 feet to as far as 380 feet. It does everything you could want a disc to do. The Comet will never come out of my bag as long as I am playing this game.” -Michael Johansen
“A midrange I can count on. I use it for straight shots as well as turnovers, mostly on wooded courses with tight fairways.”-Liz Lopez
“Once you try the Comet you will never take it out of your bag again. I put up any amount of money to bet that no other disc will stay as straight or slightly turned over in slow speeds. And the best part is that you do not have to break it in to make it work. You can use it and rely on it right out of the box.” -World distance record setter Chris Max Voigt
“The Comet the purest flying golf disc on the market. It’s glide and accuracy are unmatched. It really earns its money when I need a shot to go perfectly straight with no fall off at the end. I cannot say enough good things about this disc. Those that know me know I swear by the Comet.”
-Jim Davidson

The Discraft Comet is an excellent disc to learn correct form with. I reccomend this disc for anyone who is having form issues. If you have bad form this disc will show you. A lot of people do not care for the comet because it has to be thrown correctly. When thrown right the Comet excels at a wide variety of shots. It is a great disc for beginners and pros alike.
I use my esp for stable straight shots and long rolling turnovers to 300, The X Comet is great for hyzerflip turnovers. The Z comet is more wind resistant and is a tad more beefy than the ESP. To get a good distance shot reuires more height than a driver. I love to throw mine with a tailwind cause they will just go forever. The slow flight on a 400ft throw with a Comet is amazing and takes so long to get there. With a little wrist snap this disc easily goes 250ft with very little effort. The best beginner disc IMO.

I really love a light TP comet. It flies like a elite x but it holds the sweet spot for longer. The Z plastic ones are more stable and really won’t flip on you unless you’ve got some serious wrist roll action going on. The ESP are kind of in between.
These discs love a smooth release and they just glide forever. You can pretty much get a comet to do anything. That said, they need a little more height to get good distance. You want to throw it more like a putter than like a driver in contrast with a disc like the buzzz or fuse.
I throw a comet on pretty much every midrange shot that doesn’t have a super low ceiling.

The ESP ones are the best. The Elite Z feels too stiff, and the Elite X break in too fast (For me).
This disc goes STRAIGHT with correct form. If I need a disc to go 250′ with NO fade I will use this. It is like my buzzz but slower and a lot of glide.
