From the Manufacturer...

Specially engineered for players who love the Magnet but prefer a softer putter that grabs the chains. It's more tacky than floppy, with good grip for consistent release every time. A superb short range driver and approach disc too.

  1. The Magnet is Discraft’s flagship putter, used by many, many people across the sport to great success. Putters are largely about feel: what fits in your hands and flies true to the chains. The Magnet wasn’t that disc for me, but it is for many others. The Soft Magnet is definitely not a driving putter; too much arm will flip this disc right over. This disc found a place in my bag for short anhyzer putts, holding the line all the way to the ground. Care should be taken with this or any soft Discraft disc: if left in high temperatures, the disc may warp or take on the shape of its container(such as developing a bend where it sticks out of your bag.)

  2. A wonderful putter for anyone who putts. It can hold any line you throw it on, and once beat in a little will hold that line all the way to the ground. I use this disc for putting only, so It doesn’t come out of my bag unless I’m in range of the basket. But I use it for any type of putt within that range.

The only negative about this disc is that, during the summer, it seems to have a higher probability of bounce-outs from the chains. I’ve recently had a lot of bad luck when hitting the chains, and it seems like my luck has been the worst on the hottest days. However, this doesn’t stop me from using this disc, because I have a good chance to make it from anywhere inside of 50′. And the disc has to hit the basket before it can go into the basket. And that is what the Soft Magnet does-gravitate toward the chains.
