This is a good distance driver for anyone with any low to moderate range of power. I have thrown it in the base line plastic in both the hi-Flex and regular versions. Because of the dimples, this thing has a ton of glide. I still remember one day 3 years ago when I threw this disc about 390′ on a dead straight line. It had maybe 3′-5′ of movement left and right from the time the disc left my hand to the time it stopped moving. Even when the disc hit the ground it just slid straight ahead. The Dimples just give it great glide without a ton of power.
The big problem is that the Dimples might give it too much glide, such as when it becomes beat-in. I’ve only thrown the disc in low-end plastics, but once this thing beat up a good bit, it flew really oddly. I have a decent amount of power, and whenever I threw it at or near max power, it would flip really quickly in its flight, but at different times. Sometimes it would flip over late in the flight, and other times it would flip early in the flight. Usually when throwing with or near max power, it would flip really quickly. But if I simply backed down on my power somewhat, It would fly with a hint of understability, and not really squirrely. I expect the high end plastic would fly very long and straight without doing this though.
