Perfect fist big distance understable driver for beginners! The Archangel is the first disc I bought brand new in DX plastic. My Archangel is a little on the lighter side, weighing in at 168g. It is a great disc for getting extra distance with beginner throws. It glides like no other beginner driver out there.
As I’ve progressed, I have found the Archangel to be a great turnover disc as well as a great roller. It is not, however, a great disc for any headwind. I threw this disc into a relatively light headwind, only to watch it flip upside down and roll down a hill, back towards myself. Perhaps a max weight would have a little less give.
It has beat in quite a lot over the past 4 months that I have owned it. It is not as predictable as it use to be. I don’t use it as much as I use to. I’m not really sure why. When I throw it out in the field, it is one my top distance drivers. I suppose I just don’t like how unpredictable it has become.

First driver little brother purchased and a good fit for starters. Understable control driver with nice glide and suitable for new players or advanced level looking for turn-over/roller disc they can replace easily. New DX plastic seems very soft compared to some of the older ones and will beat-in quickly. Not much power or speed required to hyzer-flip or get to go right(RHBH) and poor choice for use with forehand shots due to more speed being generated with that style of throw the disc will not be as consistent as something more stable. Nice first driver and to practice good form with.

This a great disc for beginners. When ever I encounter a new player trying to throw a Beast I let them throw my Arch Angel and it never lets them down.
It’s an easy disc to flex 200′ with little effort. For players with more experience it could be a great anhyzer driver. But it’s not a popular disc with them.
