  1. I have a 175g R-Pro Aviar in my bag. It’s my go-to disc for any distance or shot. It handles drives very well, and you can even forehand this disc just fine.

I like the R-Pro plastic as it seems to be more resistant to wind and it sticks to the chains and ground better. This disc doesn’t pop up or roll, and seldom bounces out of the basket.

The Aviar is an excellent disc for big drives as well as putts. The flight path is extremely predictable each time, and the very slightly overstable design of the disc makes it great for hyzer flips, and less likely to turnover.

It also makes for a great first putter.

  2. Great all around stable putter and probably one of the most popular putters ever. With many different molds and plastic choices this disc is a perfect addition to the bag for those who like the same mold but different results. Star plastic is great for driving as well as even the lower grade R-pro with the DX being the least stable. Have to disagree with one review saying that the disc will “burn into the grass” given too much snap as this is a great distance putter and can be thrown well over 300 feet but still perform nice and straight within the circle. So many pro’s like Val and Avery Jenkins, Ken Climo all throw this putter, and that list goes on.

  3. One of the most popular putters of all time, Innova’s flagship is a neutral, vanilla disc. Many find its simple, smooth rim a natural grip in the hand and its straight flight easy to throw. A great putter for beginners. Be warned, however. The Aviar P&A does not drive, even when sober. It will flip hard and eat grass if given much more than 100′-150′ of snap. This disc has stood the test of time and is a great putter for your new-to-disc-golf friend.

  5. I dig the Aviar. It is easy to putt anny lines, straight, and hyzer. I wish the DX aviars were a bit stiffer like the old DX glows, other than that, they’re $ for me.
