The JK (Juliana Korver) Aviar is made from the driver mold in a special blend of durable Pro-line Plastic that is more flexible and grippier than the other Aviar models. It has the same flight characteristics as the KC Aviar. Its softer plastic is better in colder climates and for those who have dry hands and require a tackier grip.

The JK Aviar is a softer version of the KC Aviar. When new, the JK Aviar is just like the KC, it is slightly overstable, and and will fight a pretty stiff headwind. It won’t flip even on your most powerful drives, but it will still hold an anhyzer for most of the flight. It gets straighter as it beats in to the point that it will hold any line you put it on for the entire flight.
For approaches, a seasoned JK Aviar perfect for approaches at any distance. It has enough stability at the lower speeds that makes it really predictable. It won’t roll on shallow anhyzers, and it won’t flip from a hyzer. Flat throws will hold their line and maybe fade a bit at the end of the flight.
The plastic is nice and soft, and has really good grip as long as it doesn’t have dry dirt all over it. I always have a towel with me, so wiping the dirt off isn’t a problem.
The biggest difference that I see between the KC and JK Aviar in terms of the flights is that the JK seems to beat in quicker than the KC. On drives, the JK Aviar gets really touchy once it gets really beat in. It is still pretty durable because it takes a while for the disc to get to that position.
