This is a great putter for driving or approaching. When new, it is slightly overstable and will fight a pretty stiff headwind. It won’t flip even on your most powerful drives, but it will still hold an anhyzer for most of the flight. When it beats in a bit, the disc will become straighter by losing the fade on longer throws and will hold whatever line you put it on the entire flight.
I think a seasoned KC Aviar is perfect for approaches at any distance. It has enough stability at the lower speeds that makes it really predictable. It won’t roll on shallow anhyzers, and it won’t flip from a hyzer. Flat throws will hold their line and maybe fade a bit at the end of the flight.
The plastic is really stiff. Nicks along the edge of the disc can make it feel really rough on your hands if you don’t smooth them out. I personally don’t have a problem with this, but I know some people have mentioned they don’t like it.
Overall, the KC Aviar is a fantastic disc. I will probably always keep one in my bag.

Personally my favorite of all Aviar molds with great grip and slight floppiness of pro plastic helps grip the chains, defer roll-aways and absorbs impact well. Very popular with the Professionals and of course it is a great disc if the Champ himself is using one. Straight, consistent and reliable for any shot 10′-300′

Great putter! The newer 12x runs are nice and stiff, but the pro plastic will get scuffed up rather quickly if you drive off the tee with it. Good straight flyer when putting, and it will have a predictable fade when used for approach or drive shots.
