The Sidewinder is a fast flyer with a predictable high speed turn and lots of glide. This disc can add distance to anyone’s drive, but is especially useful for those with less power. The Sidewinder is our best disc for long turnover shots and long distance rollers. Even disc golfers who have never had much success throwing a roller shot, will be amazed at the results they can achieve with the Sidewinder.

Sidewinders are a great move-up driver for intermediate players and a great hyzer flip/turn-over driver for the more advanced players. The (heavier) premium plastic runs tend to be more over-stable than the DX which can make a great first roller disc. Useful in the tight wooded or low-ceiling courses as well as for some nice distance in a tail-wind. 150 class is a great beginner driver also. The multiple different weights as well as plastic types available make this a nice single mold to add to your bag and be able to get slightly different results while giving you the most control with one disc which is always a good thing– staying consistent.

The Champion & Star Sidewinders have become my go to drivers. They are not as long as the high speed drivers but for a player that has an average arm speed this will be the disc for you. With out much force you can get a good flex on this disc for maximum distance.

My longest most consistent disc I can throw this disc on a 30-40 degree hyzer and it will flip to straight, glide forever and finish with minimal fade. Once you break one in it will actually hyzer flip into a S curve. I also use this disc for long tunnel shots in thick woods.
