Flight Rating

From the Manufacturer...

The Starfire is a fast, dependable disc that is great into headwinds and has a long straight flight. A good amount of fade at the end of the flight allows this disc to work well for big S-shots and horking hyzers.

  1. I have a 170g champ starfire. I pretty much only use this disc when throwing into a headwind on a shot that needs max distance. When thrown into a headwind, this disc will hold whatever line I put it on. It won’t turnover at all, and has just a minimal fade at the end. It really shines into the wind.

Besides that, it has very little glide. I think that is why it is so good for me into the wind. On throws without wind, it will hold a line for a while, then seem to just fall to the left and go nowhere. Feels like throwing a brick. A lot of effort for little results.

It will stay in my bag just for maxD shots into a headwind. It is so good at that shot, that I can’t leave it out of the bag.

  2. I own a Star and Champion Starfire. This disc can hold fantastic hyzer lines and S-curves for distance. Power is not a requirement to make this disc do what you need it to do.
