The Summit is the understable complement to the V.P., our overstable putter. The Summit flies straight at lower speeds, making it a great disc for beginners and players looking for a predictable finesse approach disc. At faster speeds, the Summit holds a predictable anhyzer line.

Great for lob or low-spin putters. Low profile, very small bead, somewhat wider diameter. It’s like an elephant sat on a Ridge. Great grip, extremely durable. I’ve used the same putter (170g x-link) for 2+ years and don’t foresee having to change for a fresh one anytime soon. Throws understable so plenty of hyzer needed for a straight line; predictable disc for anny lines.

The Summit is the most neutral stable putter Vibram makes in terms of putting; it’s understable in terms of throwing. Whereas the VP and Ridge glide like bricks, the Summit actually has a little hang time but not so much that it makes it too floaty for putting, a problem that plagues lots of understable putters IMO. Softs are wet sponge floppy, great for risky/steep greens and eliminating tree kicks off the fairway but kind of a niche disc. The medium (regular x-link)have a little flex but are firm enough for most that prefer a firm putter. Firms are rock hard. The Summit is an excellent choice for those that lob putt (low spin) and prefer low-profiles. The bead is small and not very noticeable. The disc is also a wee bit wider diameter than conventional putters. Throwing, it must be hyzer-flipped for straight and prone to finishing anhyzer. The best part about the Vibram putters is the rubber which is extremely durable. I’ve used the same x-link Summit (170g) for 2+ years and my very OCD fingers can’t tell the difference in terms of nicks, gouges, or shape deformity, which has made me a MUCH better putter. If you like the idea of a putter for life, give Vibram a shot.

The Medium Summit has become my putter of choice. It has excellent grip and chain grabbing ability. I use a firm Summit for stand still approach shots and longer anhyzer ups. With the disc being so durable I never worry about tearing up my putter. When I replace one the new one flies exactly the same.
